Discuss and consider action to approve a resolution making additional appointments to the 2026 Capital Improvement Bond Committee.

 

Summary

The 2026 City Bond Committee will review and evaluate proposed capital projects for potential inclusion in a 2026 bond election. The committee will assess community needs and project details to ensure alignment with the Pflugerville Strategic Action Plan and community priorities, and will develop recommendations for City Council consideration. This item supports Strategic Pillars 2 - Mobility, Infrastructure & Connectivity, 3 - Community Amenities & Events, and 4 - Residential & Node Development.

 

City Council members are requested to finalize appointments for community members to serve on the committee.

 

If a bond committee is set by Council, staff anticipates a total of four committee meetings and one City Council meeting, with the process expected to conclude by June.

 

Prior City Council Action

At the February 10th meeting, council appointed 10 out of the 15 seats on the 2026 Capital Improvement Bond Committee.

 

Deadline for City Council Action

Action is requested on February 24, 2026 to appoint a 2026 Capital Improvement Bond Committee.
