Approving a Real Estate Sales Contract between the City of Pflugerville (Buyer) and Pflugerville Independent School District (Seller) in the amount of $669,000 for acquisition of 1.389 acres of right of way associated with the Colorado Sand Drive project, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Summary
This agenda item requests City Council approval of a Real Estate Sales Contract for 1.389 acres of right-of-way acquisition from Pflugerville Independent School District (District). The Right-of-Way acquisition is necessary in order to construct the Colorado Sand Drive Roadway Extension Project.
The contract includes the cost of right of way and appraisals. Additionally, the City will address adjusting and reconstructing the Hendrickson High School bus loop on a new alignment within the construction contract, at the City’s cost, to allow for the extension of Colorado Sand Drive. The District’s illumination and irrigation will be relocated to accommodate the improvements.
The project includes approximately 0.53 miles of new roadway to complete the missing segment of Colorado Sand Drive between Copper Mine Drive and Lone Star Ranch Blvd including four lane paved roadway, curb and gutter and underground drainage, sidewalks, water, and wastewater utilities and roadway illumination.
