Summary
Approving the attached resolution affirms the City's participation as a Metropolitan Entitlement City. This designation enables Pflugerville to receive Community Development Block Grant Funds since the most recent census bureau population estimate exceedied 50,000 as of July 1, 2012. For FY 2014, the City would be allocated approximately $230,000 for infrastructure improvements in low to moderate income areas delineated by the US Census Bureau. Project identification and selection would be determined by the City of Pflugerville through the development of a Consolidated Plan. The plan would be need to be completed by May 2014.

Fiscal Impact
There is no cost associated with this item. The City can anticipate approximately $230,000 being available for fiscal year 2014. Twenty percent (20%), or up to $46,000, may be used for planning / administrative expenses.
