Title
Approving a professional services agreement with Kleinfelder, Inc., in the amount of $606,850, for construction management and inspection services associated with the 1849 Park Phase 2 Project and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Summary
The 1849 Park Phase 2 Project includes construction of two 225-foot baseball fields, a 225-foot softball field, two asphalt parking lots, a concrete walking trail, lighting, irrigation, a playground, and restroom and concession facilities. Construction on phase 2 started in November 2024. In addition, construction will start on adding lighting, parking, and detention to the Phase 1 portion of the park; the bidding process for that project has ended and contractor interviews are in progress. Given the scope, both projects require dedicated construction management and inspection (CMI) services to ensure quality and timely completion. Kleinfelder, Inc. will provide on-site inspections, quality management, schedule and cost oversight, and administrative support. Additionally, the firm will coordinate with third-party inspectors as needed and assist in resolving on-site issues to ensure quality and prevent delays. This project supports the City’s Strategic Plan by enhancing infrastructure, services, and recreation facilities for residents.
