Discuss and consider adopting official list of City-sponsored events.
Summary
During the January 29, 2011 City Council retreat, there was discussion regarding City-sponsored events. Following that discussion and staff's recommendation, the Pflugerville Downtown Association (PDA) was approached by City staff with our proposal to combine the Chili Pfest and Holiday Stroll into one event held in November. This suggestion was favorably received by PDA. The change has been made to the attached list. City Council requested that the list of City-sponsored events be included for discussion and formal adoption at a City Council meeting.
Status
The attached list shows the schedule of events as proposed for the 2011 calendar year.

There is no deadline for action on this itme.
Fiscal Impact
Funds are budgeted through the fiscal year 2011 budget for those events scheduled prior to September 30, 2011. Expenditures for these events are included in the General Fund budget in Administration, Police and Parks. Overtime salaries may be incurred in other operational departments such as Streets and Utilities.
