Featured speakers to include: Richard Florida, Director of Cities at the Martin Prosperity Institute at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, and the founder of the Creative Class Group.
Featured topics will include: MaRS Discovery District a globally-recognized innovation center working with entrepreneurs and startup companies and strategically located near the University of Toronto, medical and research institutions, and downtown Toronto; Toronto's position at the leading edge of the creative economy featuring industries such as fashion, film, and music; and Community Engagement collaboratively addressing housing, transportation, and regional leadership development.

Action is requested on July 14, 2015. Late pricing begins July 25, 2015.
Fiscal Impact
The estimated cost for this year's Intercity visit is $2695 per person. Trip price includes briefing materials, airfare (not including checked baggage fees), ground transportation, accommodations and meals.
Funds for Council participation would be taken from the Council training and education line item 200-4415 of the fiscal year 2015 budget.
