Summary
Pflugerville has received two awards from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) that will be presented on June 7, 2013 at the TAMIO annual conference. The city submitted several entries and two were selected as award finalists.  First, in the category of Marketing Campaign, the city's Come Home to Shop! (R) initiative in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce, Pflugerville Downtown Association, Stone Hill Town Center, and  Emergency Services District #2 was recognized for its community involvement, marketing and results. Second, in the category of Special Publication, the Public Works Department's Save our Pfuture water conservation activity book was recognized for its use in teaching water conservation to children. City representatives will attend the awards banquet in College Station on Friday, June 7to receive the awards.
 
The Texas Association of Municipal Information (TAMI) awards is the leading recognition program in Texas honoring excellence for municipal communication strategies. The award is presented by TAMIO which includes members from municipal, county and other related agencies and organizations. This is the second year that Pflugerville has submitted work for awards. The city received two Silver Stars in 2012 for the Pf Connect Public Service Announcements and for the Pf Connect Marketing Campaign.
