Authorizing the City Manager to execute a public Wastewater Easement between Sorento Holdings 2012, LLC  and the City of Pflugerville for the property necessary for the construction of a future regional wastewater interceptor main.
 
Summary
Associated with Sorento Phase 1 subdivision development process, the City of Pflugerville is requesting a designated wastewater easement necessary for the future construction of a regional wastewater interceptor.  This future regional interceptor will ultimately provide gravity wastewater service for Villages of Hidden Lakes, Sorento, Carmel and a majority of other properties within the Weiss Lane corridor. Additional easements will need to be acquired to the east, or downstream of this location, along the Wilbarger Creek tributary. Per the development agreement with Sorento Holdings LLC, the City of Pflugerville shall have designed and constructed a portion of the regional wastewater interceptor necessary for certain phases within the Sorento subdivision.  
 
Public Works staff is currently drafting the request for qualifications (RFQ) to seek a consultant for the design of the associated regional wastewater interceptor.  Design and construction of the wastewater interceptor should be completed by June 2015.  The City Attorney  has reviewed and approved this easement.  Approval of this item authorizes the City Manager to execute the easement and subsequently record it with Travis County.
