This item is on the agenda at the request of board member Jim Mcdonald to consider sponsorship of the United Partners Jeans and Bling Event to be held on October 26 at 5 p.m. at Typhoon Texas. Tickets are $75 each.
United Partners in Pflugerville describes themselves as a community where all abilities will be empowered and valued. The Pflugerville Community Development Corporation recruitment budget supports tickets and sponsorship support of community organization events that further economic and business development in Pflugerville. In the past, the PCDC supported the Pflugerville Education Foundation and the Rotary with golf tournament teams used for business networking. Tickets were purchased for either individual tickets or a table based on board member and staff attendance for Pflugerville ISD Education Foundation Gala, State of the City, and Chamber gala.
The PCDC is a $5000 Chamber sponsor in alignment with the economic development mission of the PCDC to connect with businesses and align with local businesses. The recruitment budget also funds $5,000 with the Texas Economic Development Corporation for international economic recruitment, $5000 with The Texas Economic Development Council which is an economic development professional organization and $10,000 with Opportunity Austin for national recruitment trips and leads.
