Approving the appointment of Cody Collins as IT Director.
Summary
The City Charter, Section 4.06, requires that the City Manager shall appoint the head of each administrative department, subject to the approval of the City Council.
As the new IT Director, Cody Collins will supervise the City’s IT department, which oversees the installation and maintenance of all technology, including network infrastructure and all other platforms and systems for City facilities.
Collins comes to Pflugerville from Louisiana State University where he spent over 10 years as a Network Analyst and IT Manager, overseeing the expansion and management of the university’s network. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems and Decision Sciences from Louisiana State University and holds a variety of professional certifications including Security+, AWS Cloud Practitioner, ITIL and Cisco CCNA in Routing and Switching and in Wireless.

Action is requested on April 14, 2020. Collins will start his new role at the City of Pflugerville on April 13, 2020.
