Approving an agreement with The Brandt Companies, LLC in the amount of $206,698 for the furnishing and installation of the Justice Center back-up generator, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
 
Summary
During Winter Storm Mara, Central Texas experienced many hardships resulting from the storm which included power loss. As a result many steps were taken by the City to ensure that staff and operations have the ability to function in the event Central Texas, and specifically Pflugerville encounters such an incident in the future. One of the measures taken was to make certain that fuel supply, supporting critical infrastructure generators is of top priority. Council approved funding to replace the Police Department diesel generator with natural gas, enabling continuous fuel supply, maintaining support of emergency operations and communication. 
 
Staff have worked with the recommended vendor to specify the equipment needed, and will coordinate the installation. 
 
Prior City Council Action
Council approved project funding as part of the FY23 budget.
