Proclamation declaring October 2010 as Community Planning Month in the City of Pflugerville.
Summary
Each year the American Planning Association, its members, chapters, divisions, and professional institute, sponsor National Community Planning Month to raise the visibility of the important role of planners and planning in communities across the United States.
Members of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) also contribute their time and perspective in service to the City of Pflugerville including City Councilmember Wayne Cooper and Board of Adjustment Chairman Kevin Kluge. Mr. Kluge is also serving as the Director of the Central Texas Section of the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association.
To mark this occasion, a display about planning and planners has been arranged at the Pflugerville Community Library. In addition to a display of library collection materials that offer various points of view regarding city planning are copies of planning and strategic documents for review by the public, including the recently adopted Pflugerville 2030 Your Voice Your Choice Comprehensive Plan.
