The City is recommending approval of a Professional Services Agreement (PSA) with Terracon Consultants, Inc. in the amount of $165,410 for construction materials testing services associated with the TR2103 - Immanuel Road Roadway Project.
Construction materials testing services provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure that construction materials and workmanship meet project specifications and applicable standards. The scope of work includes field and laboratory testing, inspection, and documentation of construction activities, including soil, concrete, and pavement materials, and retaining wall inspections to verify compliance with design requirements throughout the duration of construction.
These services will support the City during the construction phase by providing independent testing and reporting, helping to ensure the roadway is constructed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and industry standards. This contract is a part of and within the $19,020,108 budget for construction.
Approving this Professional Services Agreement ensures the project is supported with necessary testing and inspection services to maintain quality, compliance, and successful project delivery.
