Summary
The professional services supplemental agreement provides for additional professional services for the Weiss Lane/Pecan Street Water Line project. The project includes approximately 10,000 LF of 42-inch water line from the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to the west side of SH-130 at East Pecan Street, and an 18-inch wastewater line to connect the WTP discharge line to the gravity system. This item supports the infrastructure pillar of the Strategic Plan.
In March 2020, City Council approved the professional services agreement with CP&Y, Inc., dba STV Infrastructure for the Weiss Lane/Pecan Street Water Line. Following design completion in July 2021, negotiations with property owners continued which included the request to make adjustments to the design and easement documents. Following the agreed upon changes, the property owner agreed to convey the necessary easements. This professional services supplemental agreement includes additional design associated with these updates, as well as adding construction materials testing during construction. Below is a summary of the additional scope items:
· Permitting, property and utility update coordination
· Design revisions for project changes at Northpoint development, Lakeside Meadows, and other design document updates
· Additional field survey for the design updates on the Northpoint property to facilitate conveyance of the easement by developer
· Updates to metes and bounds documents
· Construction phase services for the 24-inch water line bypass being constructed as part of the WTP Expansion project
· Adding Construction Materials Testing to the project to be performed by UES Professional Solutions.
