Title
Authorizing the City Manager to execute a purchase agreement and associated conveyance documents between Connie Lorraine Sladek, individually and Leslie K. Sladek and Connie L. Sladek, as Co-Trustees of the Kelby Keith Sladek Trust of 2012 and Leslie K. Sladek and Connie L. Sladek, Co-Trustees of the Riley Warren Sladek Trust of 2012 (Parcel 8) and the City of Pflugerville as necessary to acquire real property interests for the Weiss Lane and Pecan Street Water Line Projects.

Summary
The Weiss Lane and Pecan Street Water Line projects requires acquisition of a water pipeline easement and temporary access and construction easement for one of the parcels necessary to construct the project. The City’s property acquisition consultant, LJA Engineering, and city staff have negotiated with the property owner for the necessary easements. The total cost of the waterline easement and temporary access and construction easement for parcel 8 is $79,656.00 which was agreed upon, subject to City Council approval, based on the appraisal and negotiation process.

In order to construct the water line, easements are necessary from twelve (12) of the parcels located within the project limits. At this time, five (5) parcels have closed, all other parcels remain in negotiations. City staff continues bi-weekly coordination meetings with the right-of-way (ROW) Agent.

Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute a purchase agreement, an easement, and associated conveyance documents necessary for formal conveyance of the easements.

Prior City Council Action
City Council approved a professional engineering services agreement with CP&Y in the amount of $1,154,308.00 for professional engineering services associated with the Weiss Lane/Pecan Street Water Line project at the March 10, 2020 meeting.
