Summary
The City of Pflugerville owns several tracts within the Northeast Travis County Utility District, which generally consists of the Villages of Hidden Lake subdivision. Two of these parcels are contiguous to the current city limits of Pflugerville and because they have city owned and maintained facilities, staff recommends that they be annexed into the city for full purposes. Tract 1 is approximately 8.54 acres located along the northeastern perimeter of Lake Pflugerville and extends north along Silent Harbor Loop. The developer recently completed improvements to a portion of this property consistent with the Settlement and Agreement of Sale agreement approved in 2010. Tract 2 is approximately 0.37 acres located on the west side of Weiss Lane, near the Hidden Lake Crossing intersection. A wastewater lift station is located on the parcel.

The annexation of these tracts allows the City's Police Department to extend their service to these locations and mitigates any confusion regarding the enforcement of municipal ordinances applicable to them.

This proposed annexation is exempt from annexation plan requirements in the Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 43.

Status
