Title
Approving a professional services supplemental agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. in the amount of $914,877.50 for professional engineering services associated with the 2020 Transportation Bond Program Project East Pecan Street, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.

Summary
This intersection improvement project will improve system operations and traffic flow at East Pecan St. and Weiss Lane intersection. Improvements will be a safety enhancement and help avoid traffic delays and driver frustration. This item is supported by the Infrastructure pillar of the Strategic Plan.

This project includes preparation of plans, specifications, and costs estimate for intersection improvements consisting of approximately 1100 linear feet of E. Pecan St. for a six-lane urban roadway reconstruction, signal design, storm drainage/detention and illumination. This project includes improvements along Weiss Lane and will interconnect to the Cameron Road project, a separate City project designed by others. This supplemental agreement modifies the scope of the original agreement

Prior City Council Action
Pflugerville City Council called a November 3, 2020, bond election for three propositions totaling $191.3 million at the August 11, 2020 meeting.

Pflugerville City Council approved a Professional Services Agreement with KHA totaling $791,024.30 at the July 27, 2021, meeting.

Pflugerville City Council approved Supplemental Agreement #1 for Professional Services for the Project in the amount of $92,307.89, for innovative intersection modeling, geotechnical design services, and additional preparation of parcel maps to the Agreement at the May 17, 2022, meeting.
