Summary
The East Pecan Street Widening Project requires property acquisition along portions of E. Pecan Street for construction. The City’s property acquisition consultant and city staff have negotiated with the landowner for the needed property. The cost of a total of $82,665 has been agreed to based on appraisals and proposed improvements for the necessary easement and right of way. The cost of the conditional purchase agreement is $73,120 and the cost of the easement purchase agreement is $9,545.
Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute a conditional purchase agreement, an easement purchase agreement, and special warranty deed. These documents will be recorded with the Travis County Clerk’s office once they are executed.
The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the language of the conditional purchase agreement., easement purchase agreement and special warranty deed.
Fiscal Impact
Funding for acquiring this property is from the 2014 general obligation bond funds.
