Authorizing the City Manager to execute a utility conveyance and security agreement between Sorento Holdings 2012 LLC. and the City of Pflugerville for water and sanitary sewer improvements to serve Travis County Municipal Utility District No. 17 (MUD 17) and the Sorento Section 1 subdivision.
Summary
In conjunction with the development agreements between Sorento Holdings 2012 LLC and the City of Pflugerville, approving this agreement will convey all water and sanitary sewer facilities located within MUD 17, specifically within the Sorento Section 1 subdivision, to the City of Pflugerville. The City has inspected and accepted all water and sanitary sewer infrastructure within the Sorento Section 1 subdivision, subject to this agreement. As a result of the agreement, the City will have ownership and maintenance obligations for all water and sanitary sewer infrastructure within the Sorento Section 1 subdivision portion of MUD 17. The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the utility conveyance and security agreement as to form.
Approval of this item authorizes the City Manager to execute the agreement and subsequently record with Travis County.

The most recent action occurred on August 13, 2013 with City Ordinance ORD-0166 for voluntary annexation of land within MUD 17.

Fiscal Impact
The City will be maintaining the water and sanitary sewer system within the Sorento Subdivision. Upon build out, the overall Sorento development consists of 944 single family lots and 2 lots designated multifamily. Section 1 of Sorento includes 97 single family lots.
Staff Recommendation
Authorize the City Manager to execute the agreement to establish the proposed easement.
