Approving an annexation ordinance on first reading with the caption: An ordinance of the City of Pflugerville, Texas, annexing, for full purposes, tract of land totaling approximately 62.74 acres of land situated in the Theophilus Ellison Survey, Abstract No. 260, in Travis County, Texas, being all of called 86.96 acre tract of land as described in a general warranty deed to New Sweden MPC, L.P and recorded in document no. 2006201486 of the official public records of Travis County, Texas. The property is generally located east of the FM 973 and New Sweden Church Road intersection on the north side of New Sweden Church Road to be known as the New Sweden Lift Station annexation (ANX2025-00423).
Summary
The 62.74 acres was deeded to the city as part of the New Sweden Development Agreement in 2017 (document number 2017194178). The site is intended to accommodate a new lift station serving the New Sweden Interceptor. Per state law, the right-of-way of New Sweden Church Road that abuts the property is required to be annexed.
The New Sweden Lift Station and Force Main projected budget is 11,972,444.00 and is funded in part by Impact Fees, CO bonds and WIFIA funds. The plans are currently at the full design stage, with utility relocation/ property acquisition to follow. Construction is expected to start in March 2027and take a year to complete.
