Summary
This item is to authorize the approval of a construction agreement with Ichor to complete renovations of the city's library. The scope of the project is to adjust utilization of the interior space by creating a makerspace in the current computer lab area and shifting the computer lab to the underutilized quiet study area. Externally, a shade structure will be added to increase utilization and programming in the courtyard and additional sidewalks will be constructed to improve the safety of pedestrians walking from the parking lot to the building.

The City Council approved the selection of this contractor through the competitive sealed proposal process on January 12, 2016.

Fiscal Impact
This project is funded with the remaining bond funds approved for the expansion of the library in 2008.
