Title
Conduct a presentation on the State Highway 45 Ramp Reversal Project report.
Summary
The SH45 frontage roads west of Heatherwilde do not extend to proposed Kenney Fort Boulevard. There is not a westbound exit from SH 45 to Heatherwilde nor proposed Kenney Fort Blvd (which will open to traffic later this year). This lack of access has inhibited development on the north side, reduced (nontolled) travel options in the area, and resulted in added traffic to local roads and neighborhoods (such as Donnell Drive and High Country between SH 45 and Gattis School Road). A concept plan to connect the frontage roads, add westbound exit ramps for Heatherwilde Blvd and Kenney Fort Blvd, and add the missing U-turn bridges has been developed by the City of Round Rock, in partnership with the City of Pflugerville.
To advance the project, City of Pflugerville staff recognized that the costs originally obtained in 2019 would need to be updated, and therefore engaged Halff to update construction costs
based on current prices and then inflating to the projected letting year.
This presentation will go over the history, purpose and need, concept plans, projected project cost, schedule, and project next steps.
