Authorize the City Manager to purchase replacement computers from GTS Technology Solutions, Inc. in the amount of $89,108.00 utilizing Texas DIR-TSO-3763-R purchasing cooperative contract.
Summary
Every year, the City of Pflugerville replaces computers and related equipment which have reached five years of production per the IT Master Plan and best practices. In a typical year, we replace between 75-85 personal computers (PCs). However, with assistance from the Coronavirus Relief Fund, we proactively replaced some desktop PCs with laptops during the previous fiscal year, thus reducing the total number of PC replacements to 65 this fiscal year.
Only 38 PCs are represented in this order as 27 Mobile Digital Computers (MDCs, or "rugged laptops") for officers and field workers were purchased earlier this year.
