Summary
The City of Pflugerville staff solicited sealed bids for the mowing of specific rights-of-way. Advertisements were placed in the Pflugerville Pflag for two consecutive weeks; and, notice of the bid was on the City's website for the duration. A pre-bid meeting was held with interested parties where the specific areas proposed for contractual mowing were shown on maps. Questions were answered during the meeting and each vendor was invited to drive around the areas with a city staff member for further information. Out of three bids received, two bids were qualified: William Earl Canady in the amount of $48,240; Landscape Ranch Services, Inc. in the amount of $89,856. Public Works staff has checked references and the quality of equipment that will be used as specified in the bid documents. Finance staff has verified all information regarding insurance requirements.
