Summary
This resolution establishes a new City of Pflugerville Fire Hydrant Flow Testing Fee. The attached form will be used when contractors or design engineers request the testing of existing City fire hydrants to determine the flow, static and residual pressures. This information is necessary for private development to determine meter size, main size, fire protection systems and the need for any pressure reducing valves. A $250 fee for the flow test is proposed. This fee covers the cost associated with the loss of water and City cost for a 2-3 man crew to perform the test. The fee revenue will be deposited in the City of Pflugerville Utility Fund. This fee will apply to the testing of City owned public fire hydrants only.

Fiscal Impact
Funds from this proposed fee will be deposited in the Utility Fund to offset associated expenses.
