The city of Pflugerville has implemented a new web-based system, FOIA Systems, for the management and tracking of open records requests.
The new system increases citizen access to public information while allowing Pflugerville the ability to streamline its open records process. With the Open Records Request Center, citizens can visit http://www.pflugervilletx.gov/openrecords to submit an open records request. Once submitted, guests have the ability to log into the Open Records Request Center to track the status of their requests, communicate with the city and pick up requested documents.
By capturing, routing and managing open records requests, the system will enhance organization and create a convenient form of communication between departments, resulting in faster response times. Both the citizen and city management have the capability to access and track the open record requests and their status, ensuring that every request is filled promptly.
