Discussion regarding Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Transportation, Parks, and Facilities (to include Animal Shelter) projects for a possible November 2015 bond election.

 

Summary

This item has been included on the worksession to allow for discussion and an item has been included on the regular meeting agenda to allow for discussion and potential action regarding possible propositions for a November 3, 2015 bond election.

 

Deadline for City Council Action

If the City Council would like to call a bond election for transportation, parks, facilities or other projects, the deadline to call an election for November 3, 2015 is August 24, 2015.  The last regular meeting prior to the deadline to call an election will take place August 11, 2015.  If the City Council desires to call a bond election, staff requests action on July 28, 2015 to provide direction to prepare election materials for calling the election at the August 11, 2015 regular council meeting.

 

Fiscal Impact

Election costs are estimated at $30,000.  Election costs for the November 2014 General and Special Bond election were $29,009.16.
