Approving the PCDC Interim Executive Director to enter into a professional services agreement with DCS Engineering, in the amount of $317,823 for final engineering services associated with Impact Way Phase IV project.
Summary
PCDC is requesting DCS Engineering to perform services associated with the bidding and award, construction administration, construction management, and material testing services for Impact Way Extension Phase IV, which will extend the road from the southern property line of SH-130 Commerce Center to the southern property line of the 17.7 acres tract that is located south of the Commerce Center. The Impact Way roadway and right of way will extend southward by approximately 1,575 ft within the 17.7 acres tract. Public water and wastewater improvements will also be constructed along the Impact Way road extension with fire hydrants, about four new curb inlets, storm sewer serving the roadway, and discharge into the detention pond.
Prior City Council Action
The City Council approved the PCDC Budget on August 22, 2023 to include budgeting for the extension of Impact Way. The PCDC Board approved this item 7-0 on December 20, 2024 and authorized the Executive Director to execute the contract and forward to the City Council for final approval. Contract with DCS Engineering in an amount not to exceed $133,050 for preliminary engineering and design services to construct Phase IV of Impact Way extension to and through the PCDC 17.7 acre tract. Approved Preliminary Design and Final Plat preparation for submission to the City for the development of the 17.8-acre tract owned by the PCDC at the December 20, 2023 PCDC Board meeting; and approved by City Council January 9, 2024 Council meeting. This request for the final design PSA was approved by the PCDC Board on February 28, 2024 and City Council on 3/26/2024 in an amount not to exceed $369,000 for engineering and final design services for Phase IV of the Impact Way extension.
