Approving an ordinance on second reading with the caption reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2010-2011 BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF PFLUGERVILLE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Summary
During the fiscal year it becomes necessary to amend the approved budget to allow for expenditures and revenue that were not originally approved. During fiscal year 2010-2011, budget amendments will be processed on a quarterly basis. Attached is a summary of the requested amendments for the first quarter which includes the amounts, the line items affected, the purpose of the amendment proposal, and reference to a City Manager Report that included a narrative on the necessity of the expenditure.
At its February 9, 2011, meeting the Finance and Budget Committee discussed these budget amendments and unanimously recommended approval of the amendments as presented.
Prior City Council Action
The FY 2010-2011 Budget was approved on September 14, 2010. This budget amendment ordinance was approved on first reading on February 22, 2011.
Deadline for City Council Action
Before the end of the current fiscal year.
Projected Future City Council Action
Subsequent amendments will be presented for approval after each quarter of the fiscal year.
