Approving an ordinance on second reading with the caption reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PFLUGERVILLE, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE FIFTH AMENDMENT TO THE FISCAL YEAR 2010-2011 BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF PFLUGERVILLE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Summary
During the fiscal year it becomes necessary to amend the approved budget to allow for expenditures and revenue that were not originally approved. Attached is a summary of the requested amendments for the fourth quarter which includes the purpose of the amendment proposal, the amounts, the line items affected, and the narrative from the referenced City Manager Report regarding the necessity for the amendment. This set of amendments also includes year-end entries to reflect grant revenues and associated expenses in the general fund and additional revenues and related expenses in the utility fund. At its December 1, 2011, meeting the Finance and Budget Committee discussed this amendment and unanimously recommended approval as presented.
Prior City Council Action
The City Council approved this ordinance on first reading at the December 13, 2011, City Council Meeting.
