Summary
In FY23, Council approved a budget request to make improvements to the Heritage House porch and railings totaling $23,424. After the winter storm, storm damage repair totaling $5,861.67 was added, bringing the total of the project for FY23 to $29,285.67.
As work began, staff began discussing additional improvements with the contractor, Target Solutions, to make repairs to the siding and interior/exterior of the museum in FY24 and a cost estimate was requested. No contract was signed for the additional work, however, due to miscommunication, both projects were completed in FY23 bringing the total of the project to $73,585.56. Staff noticed additional work being done and asked several times throughout the project if it was still within budget. Staff were told yes it was still on budget. This item seeks a ratification to the FY23 budget to pay Target Solutions, the original contracted amount of $29,285.67 for the porch and storm damage repair, and $44,299.89 for the exterior/interior repairs originally anticipated for FY24.
