Summary
As part of the FY26 Budget, the City Council approved the establishment of a City Attorney position. This agenda item seeks to ratify the official job description for the City Attorney and provide direction to staff to initiate recruitment for this role.
Appointed by the City Council, the City Attorney works closely with the City Manager, City leadership, department directors, employees, and boards and commissions to plan, direct, and deliver comprehensive legal services to support the City’s operations and strategic priorities.
