Title
Authorizing the City Manager to execute an easement purchase agreement and associated conveyance documents between Geraldine Timmermann and the City of Pflugerville as necessary to acquire a drainage easement for the Pfennig Lane Widening Project.
Summary
The Pfennig Lane Widening Project requires the acquisition of a 0.517 acre drainage easement necessary to construct a detention pond adjacent to the Pfennig Lane right-of-way. The pond is required to mitigate the increase in peak runoff flows due to the widening of the road. The City’s property acquisition consultant and city staff have negotiated with the landowner for the needed easement in accordance with the direction provided by City Council during executive session at the August 28, 2018 and September 11, 2018 City Council meetings. The cost of $124,090.00 for the easement purchase agreement has been agreed upon, subject to City Council approval, based on negotiations between the property owner and City.
Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute an easement purchase agreement and associated conveyance documents necessary for formal conveyance of the easement to the City.
The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the language of the easement purchase agreement.
Fiscal Impact
Funding for acquiring these property interests is from the 2014 general obligation bonds.
