Authorize the City Manager to enter into and execute the Purchasing Cooperative Interlocal Agreement with Williamson County.
Summary
This proposed interlocal agreeement offers another opportunity for the City of Pflugerville to purchase commodities and services without the time and effort that is expended during a procurement process. The City can use the approved bids from vendors used by Williamson County, essentially piggybacking onto their bid process. Conversely, Williamson County has access to our procurements. This increases the resources that the Purchasing Department can use to increase efficiency throughout the procurement process. The City will issue Pflugerville purchase orders including our terms and conditions to the vendor to initiate the transaction.
The City Attorney has reviewed this interlocal agreement.

There is no deadline for Council action.
Fiscal Impact
The City of Pflugerville will get competitive pricing for its commodities and services without the expense of having to advertise and solicit bids for commodities that have already been solicited by Williamson County.
