Approving the schedule for soccer practices at the Wells Point Soccer Complex and authorizing the City Manager or his designee to assign practice fields for the Fall 2012 Soccer Season.
Summary
The current agreement with the Pflugerville Area Youth Soccer League (PAYSL) requires PAYSL to submit a field schedule to the City for approval. The Parks and Recreation staff has been working with PAYSL and the Austin Texans to allocate practice fields at Wells Point Soccer Complex. Both organizations have agreed to the following: Wells Point Field number 3 will be assigned to the Austin Texans for practice; Wells Point Field numbers 1,2 and 4 through 13, as well as the Bohls Park fields are assigned to PAYSL for practice.
The regular playing season will start on September 8, 2012 and end November 5, 2012. Tournament play will begin November 11, 2012. Practices will be ongoing through December for teams making playoffs.
Deadline for City Council Action
The schedule should be approved prior to the start of the fall season.
