Summary
This resolution is for authorization of the City Manager to execute a Release and Vacation Instrument to vacate an existing 50' temporary drainage easement within the future Portchester Castle Path right-of-way. The right-of-way will be dedicated to the City by Special Warranty Deed and therefore the existing temporary drainage easement is no longer required. City Attorney has reviewed and approved the resolution as to form.
Portchester Castle Path is being extended to the eastern property boundary of the Highland Park Subdivision by D. R. Horton, where it will connect to Town Center Drive currently being extended by NewQuest. This was the subject of a Chapter 380 Economic Development Grant approved by the City last year in which the City is generally responsible for the cost of the bridge segment.
