Title

Discussion, presentation, and possible action to authorize expenditures and authorize an agreement in support of a PCDC Board for a Community Engagement Grant submitted by Pflugerville Area Youth Baseball and Softball not to exceed $315,455.00.

Summary

The project is focused on performing essential repairs and upgrades to improve the safety, functionality, and overall appearance of the youth baseball and softball fields.  The scope of work include reinforcing and repairing perimeter fencing to ensure player and spectator safety, leveling and filling holes in the outfield to prevent injuries, and addressing general field maintenance.  This involves repainting dugouts, replacing damaged signage, and clearing debris throughout the facility. Where feasible, the goal is to install scoreboards and repair or replace broken field lights to enhance game day experiences.

The improvements are essential to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the hundreds of youth athletes and families in this community.  By investing in these upgrades, it ensures the safety and functionality of the fields and fosters community pride and encourage long-term participation in youth sports.
