Summary
The City of Pflugerville staff solicited sealed bids for the purchase and installation of a telephone system for the Public Works Department. This upgrade to the telephone system at Public Works is part of the fiber connection project that was approved as part of General Capital Reserve funding for this year. Advertisements were placed in the Pflugerville Pflag for two consecutive weeks; notice of the bid was on the City's website for the duration of the bidding process; and Texas Bid System was used to broaden our outreach for potential bidders. One qualified bid was received from IT Works in the amount of $72,797.00. The City of Pflugerville's information technology consultant reviewed the bid and checked the references. Finance staff has verified all information regarding insurance requirements. The executed contract will include all provisions requested by the City Attorney. The request for bid and the bid information received from IT Works are attached to this agenda item.

Action is requested on May 22, 2012. The bidders were notified that this item would be considered at this meeting.
Fiscal Impact
