Approving a conditional purchase agreement and associated conveyance documents between Allen Wayne Vorwerk (Parcel 3A) and the City of Pflugerville as necessary to acquire real property interests for the Sorento Interceptor Phase 2 project, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Summary
The Sorento Interceptor Phase 2 project requires easement acquisition for a permanent utility easement and temporary construction easement which are necessary to construct the project and provide access for future operation & maintenance. The City’s property acquisition consultant and city staff have negotiated with Mr. Allen Wayne Vorwerk for the necessary easements for Parcel 3A. The cost of $311,706.00 was agreed upon, subject to City Council approval, based on appraisals obtained for the property.
Easement acquisitions for the Sorento Interceptor Phase 2 project includes sixteen (16) parcels. Easements within eight (8) parcels have been executed and are available for use. An additional seven (7) parcels are currently in negotiations. City staff continues bi-weekly coordination meetings with the property acquisition agent.
Approval of this item will authorize the City Manager to execute a purchase agreement for the Parcel 3A permanent utility easement, and temporary construction easement associated conveyance documents necessary for formal conveyance of the real property interests.
Prior City Council Action
City Council approved a professional services agreement with Seven Arrows Land Staff, LLC. In the amount of $78,750.00 for right-of-way services for Sorento Interceptor Phase 2 Project on January 25, 2021.
City Council approved a professional Services Agreement with CP&Y, Inc. for professional Services associated with the Sorento Interceptor Phase 2 Project in the amount $754,498.00 on November 9, 2020
