Summary
This item provides for the restriping of four public streets in the Stone Hill Town Center including Stone Hill Drive, Limestone Commercial Drive, Hilltop Commercial Drive and Town Center Drive. This is the first purchase that Council will approve through the interlocal agreement for joint and cooperative purchasing between the City of Pflugerville and Round Rock, Cedar Park, Hutto, Leander, Georgetown, Taylor, and the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority, Inc. The interlocal agreement was approved by the Pflugerville City Council on July 24, 2012. Pflugerville is using an approved contract from Round Rock for striping which eliminated the time and cost of bidding it ourselves.
Deadline for City Council Action
Stone Hill Town Center property managers have requested that the re-striping services be expedited.
Fiscal Impact
The amount of $90,000 was included in the fiscal year 2014 budget for contracted pavement marking in the Street Department.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends authorizing the City Manager to approve the bid for restriping from D.I.J. Construction, Inc. in the amount of $53,269.55.
