Each year, the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association solicits nomination for various awards including Comprehensive Plans. As the Pflugerville 2030 Your Voice Your Choice Comprehensive Plan was in its final stages, Design Workshop prepared a nomination of the Plan for an award. The City of Pflugerville was notified last month that the Plan will be recognized with an award at the Chapter's annual conference in San Antonio on October 8.

The Comprehensive Plan was approved by the City Council on second reading on September 28, 2010.
