Summary
At the end of a fiscal year it is standard to have ongoing operations in process where the goods and/or services have not been paid and accounted for to close out the fiscal year. Items funded out of fiscal year (FY) 2021 that were in process will need to have funds rolled-over to FY22. A budget amendment to increase FY22 expenditures is required transferring unused funds from FY21 fund balance. The attached Exhibit A provides details for General Fund, Water/Wastewater Fund, and Seized Assets fund. All items requested were approved and funded in FY21 but not complete by year-end.
General Fund: $674,924. Additional Fund Balance $4M (in excess of projected amount)
Water/Wastewater: $206,759. Additional Fund Balance $4.7M
Seized Assets: $52,414. Fund Balance $114,252
