Summary

This property is required for the Heatherwilde Elevated Storage Tank project which is a necessary part of City infrastructure related to water service for the western portion of the City.  City staff and its consultants have identified this property as the best situated for overall design and function of the future elevated storage tank. The City has initiated a formal appraisal of the affected property and made Mr. Puett a formal offer based off the appraisal amount.  The property owner proposed a counter offer to the City which was rejected.  The City and its agents continued discussions with Mr. Puett but a resolution on the property could not be resolved.  The City Council is expected to retire to executive session on the item for consultation with legal counsel pursuant to Chapter 551.071 of the Texas Government Code and deliberation regarding real property pursuant to Chapter 551.072 of the Texas Government Code. Action, if any, will be taken in open session.
