Summary
The City Charter section 11.08 states that the city council shall have the authority to compromise and settle any and all claims and suits in favor of or against the city, except suits by the city to recover delinquent taxes. The Finance Department and City Manager Office with counsel of the City Attorney brings forward the attached settlement and release agreement to relieve the City of Pflugerville from any and all future liability derived from this incident. The incident was related to the damaged property at 515 Oat Meadow Drive caused by blockage in the City's sewer line. City staff submitted the claim to our insurance provider Texas Municipal League.

Fiscal Impact
Funding for the settlement will come from the Insurance Liability expense account in the Water and Wastewater Fund.
