Summary
The City is amending Chapter 72 of our Code of Ordinances specifically relating to speed limits on city streets by amending existing streets with posted speed limits other than the prima facie speed of 30 mph. This action updates the ordinance to ensure compliance with state law in order to enforce speed limits on city streets.
The following streets are included in the changes to the ordinance:
• A.W. Grimes Blvd
• Meister Ln
• Sun Light Near Way
Maps showing current speed limits and the new speed limits are attached to this item. This item has been approved by the City Attorney as to form.

Chapter 72 regarding speed limits on city streets was last amended by the City Council on:
• A.W. Grimes Blvd on March 27, 2007
• Meister Ln on December 16, 2003
• Sun Light Near Way on March 25, 2014
