Approving DuPont Water Solutions for selected membrane filtration system supplier for the Pflugerville Water Treatment Plant Expansion and authorize the City Manager to execute the same.
Summary
As was discussed at the December 14th City Council Worksession, the City received two proposals from membrane suppliers that could retrofit into the existing membrane basins. These two proposals were both evaluated by the City’s review team, the Water Treatment Plant Expansion Design Engineer, and the City’s Owner Representative for both their completeness and to evaluate what would be the best option for the City’s Surface Water Treatment Plant. After the proposals were evaluated by the Review Team, interviews were conducted by the review team of the two membrane suppliers where questions were asked of the suppliers so that the review team could determine which supplier would provide the best value to the City.
After careful review of the proposals provided and after deliberation by the Review Team after the respective interviews, it was determined that Dupont Water Solutions provided the best value for the City’s Surface Water Treatment Plant membrane supplier.

On December 14th, City staff provided an update regarding the selection process and the two proposals that were submitted by qualified membrane suppliers.
