Discuss and consider action to approve a PCDC professional services agreement with DCS in an amount not to exceed $369,000 for engineering and final design services for Phase IV of the Impact Way extension to and through the PCDC 17.8-acre tract and authorizing the President to execute the same.
Summary
PCDC is requesting the final design of Impact Way Extension Phase IV, which will extend the road from the Southern property line of SH-130 Commerce Center to the Southern property line of the 17.8-acre tract that is located South of the Commerce Center. The project will include the design of water lines, sanitary sewer, storm sewer for on-site flows, a 6’x4’ storm sewer for off-site flows, a detention pond with earthen wall and concrete overflow structure, approximately 800 ft by 12 ft high concrete retaining walls, rough grading of the site for the creation of pad ready tracts, and dry utilities. This effort will provide utility and public roadway through the subdivided 17.8-acre tract as four pieces including an approximate 10.8-acre tract, a 2.6-acre tract, a 1.4-acre detention pond serving the 17.8-acres, and 2.6 acres dedicated to road right of way.
Prior City Council Action
Approved Preliminary Design and Final Plat preparation for submission to the City for the development of the 17.8-acre tract owned by the PCDC at the December 20, 2023 PCDC Board meeting; and approved by City Council January 9, 2024 Council meeting. This request for the final design PSA was approved by the PCDC Board on February 28, 2024 with a 7-0 vote.
