Title
Presentation to open the public comment period for the Community Development Block Grant five year Consolidated Plan.

Summary
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program provides annual grants on a formula basis to entitled communities to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons. The City of Pflugerville became an entitlement community in 2013 and is currently developing the third 5-year Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan. The Consolidated Plan serves as the application to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for CDBG funding and describes the community needs, resources, priorities, and proposed activities to be undertaken through the Annual Action Plans.

A draft version of the Consolidated Plan is now available for community members to review and provide comments to ensure the plan meets the needs of the community. A paper version of the draft Consolidated Plan will be available for review at the Pflugerville Library at 1008 W. Pfluger St., the Travis County Health and Human Services at 15822 Foothill Farms Loop, and an online version is available at the following link: https://www.pflugervilletx.gov/cdbg. Comments on the draft plan are encouraged to be sent to planning@pflugervilletx.gov or dropped of at the Planning and Development Services Department at 100 W. Main St.
