Title

Discuss and consider action to approve a Professional Services Agreement for Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) Project Management Services for Solar Sail Grid Tied Electric Car Charging Station in an amount not to exceed $200,000.

Summary

This is a grid tied solar canopy that will be tied to an electric vehicle charging station. The station will charge electric vehicles including the Chevy Volt, Nissan Leaf, Kenguru and National Scooter’s electric scooters and bikes. The Charging station is free under a grant.  The contract shall not exceed $200,000.  PCDC shall be using promotional funds for this project. The project is about creating a unique piece of functional public art at the entrance to PCDC’s Renewable Energy Park.  This Solar sail canopy will be the first such facility in the world and will be a show case for FTL Solar’s patented technology and a truly unique piece of public architecture/artwork for the City of Pflugerville.  In addition, the PCDC believes this project will spot light Pflugerville’s Renewable Energy Park and help to drive renewable energy companies to locate in the Park.  Please find the agreement and information attached.
