Approving an encroachment agreement and related documents with Enterprise Products for a natural gas line associated with the Secondary Colorado River Raw Water Line project, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same.
Summary
Enterprise Products is currently working on a project within the City of Austin that requires a natural gas line to serve a client they represent to provide resiliency within the natural gas system in the area. For the natural gas line to be constructed to the endpoint, it must cross the City of Pflugerville’s existing raw water line easement along Cameron Road and Yeager Lane. Enterprise Products approached the City regarding crossing the raw water easement and has been very accommodating to work around the City’s current raw water line as well as the second raw water line that is currently in final design that will be constructed. They have proposed to construct the line below the City’s existing line so that the City will not have any issues constructing the second raw water line in the future.
As the City’s raw water line will still be in a protected position above the natural gas pipeline and the applicant intends to bore underneath our existing raw water line and Yeager Lane, our infrastructure will still be protected from their construction activities in our easement. This Encroachment Agreement will allow the applicant to be able to complete their work on a different public infrastructure pipeline while also ensuring they have the existing infrastructure clearly marked and planned for within their pipeline plans.
